We welcome Livingston to the Growing list of Montana Cities Celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day!

11.17.2020 Livingston, Montana.

In a unanimous decision, the Livingston Montana City Commission voted to replace Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples Day. A large group of IDP supporters turned up for the Zoom Commission meeting on Tuesday, November 17 with powerful statements made by Francine Spang-Willis, Marsha Small, Ben Pease, Shane Morigeau, Carson Taylor, Joan Kresich, and many more. Much thanks goes to City Commissioner Melissa Nootz, who brought IDP to the table and to all the Commissioners for supporting it. We look forward to see how Livingston will choose to commemorate the new holiday!
